What it is
The ANUK/Unipol National Code sets clear standards for how student accommodation is managed and maintained. It is run by Accreditation Network UK (ANUK) with Unipol. Joining is voluntary - it shows a landlord's commitment to high standards of service, safety, transparency and management.
Our responsibility as a member
As members of the ANUK/Unipol National Code ("the Code"), we are responsible for meeting the standards the Code sets in every accredited building, from the day you collect your key to the day you move out.
What it means for you
When your building is covered by the Code:
- it meets established standards for management, maintenance and service
- you get clear information about your agreement, your rent and what to expect
- repairs are dealt with properly and within set timescales
- health and safety meets recognised standards
- there is a formal complaints procedure, and if a problem can't be resolved with us you can take it to the Code's Complaints Investigator (https://www.nationalcode.org/for-students/problems-complaints/)
